CDPack: Structured Packings

1.1 Sheet metal Structured packings

CDPack is the most widely used structured packing made from perforated plate with corrugation on surface. The packing has advantages such as high capacity, low resistance, high mass-transfer efficiency and strong resistance to fouling worldwide.

1.2 High capacity structured packings

CDPack High is the latest generation of structured packing. With the enhancement of the geometric structure of conventional CDPack, the pressure drop is much lower and can offer double capacity compared to CDPack. High capacity structured packing is used to increase capacity & reduce pressure drop both in new construction and for replacing standard sheet metal structured packing, conventional random packing & trays

1.3 Wire mesh Structured Packings

Wire Mesh Structured Packing is manufactured from specially woven wire mesh that is pressed into smooth plates, uniformly perforated, corrugated and stacked with corrugations in alternate directions. It has the lowest pressure drop per theoretical stage, making it the ideal choice for processing specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and materials that are sensitive to temperature.

1.4 Grids Structured Packings

Grid structured packing combines high surface area of traditional structured packing and rugged construction of the common grid configuration. It can provide high heat transfer efficiency, high mechanical strength. . Grid Structured Packing was developed to provide extended operation in fouling services that are prone to plugging, coking, erosion and containing solids.

1.5 Extraction Packings

CDExtract is structured packing with specially adapted liquid distributors, CD Extract structured packing ensures optimum performance. The key benefit of the packed column for liquid-liquid extraction is the high throughput, which results in small column diameters

1.6 Lab Packings

In laboratory columns from 20 to 100 mm diameter, lab packings are used. This wire mesh packing is designed for applications require a high number of theoretical stages. This provides low pressure drop at higher load capacity.

Advantages of Structured Packing are

⦁ Low pressure drop.

⦁ Large contacting surface area.

⦁ High separation and filtering efficiency.

⦁ High capacity.

⦁ Reduced liquid hold-up performance.

⦁ Corrosion and high temperature resistance.

Applications of structured packing

⦁ Fine chemicals.

⦁ Solvent recovery.

⦁ Chemical product refining.

⦁ Atmospheric rectification.

⦁ Vacuum rectification.
